62f4a42210 fix: page past the 100-row cap in batch label sheets and asset pickers
Some checks failed
CI / backend (push) Failing after 7s
CI / naming (push) Successful in 2s
CI / frontend (push) Successful in 9s
CI / migrations-mysql (push) Failing after 6s
Follow-up to the application-picker fix. Three of these were already wrong on
data that exists today, not merely latent.

Batch label printing is the worst of them: AssetLabelBatch asked for 500
machines or PCs, got 100, and printed a sheet that looked complete. With 262
machines and 290 PCs in the catalogue that is a physically short run with no
error anywhere - the operator finds out at the label printer, or later at the
bay with no label on it. PrinterQRBatch, USBLabelBatch and PrintedPartsLabels
had the same shape and are fixed alongside it, before their tables cross 100
too.

MachineForm's "controls" PC dropdown offered the first 100 of 290, so a
machine could not be linked to a PC sorting late in the list. NetworkDeviceForm
had it for models, which are already past 100 - and the same file already
called modelsApi.listAll() correctly two lines away.

Adds listAll() to the machines, computers, printers, network, measuring-tools,
USB and printed-parts APIs, all delegating to fetchAllPages().

Still outstanding: callers of vendors, locations, business units and the type
catalogues that ask for more than 100. Those tables are all well under the cap
today, so they are correct for now and wrong the day they are not.

c648bdf560 labels: one module knows how to draw a code, seven views stop guessing
Three core pages and four plugin pages each imported qrcode and jsbarcode
directly, and each carried its own answer to the same questions: what margin,
what width, which error correction, how big a module must be before a scanner
can read it. The answers had already drifted - margin 0 in one place and 2 in
another, width 150 against 160 - and on a label that is the difference between
a sticker that scans and one that does not.

frontend/src/utils/codes.js owns it now: the label-stock presets, the quiet-zone
and margin defaults, CODE128 with no printed value, and the printer-resolution
arithmetic that only the Tech Tools generator had. A view passes what is
specific to its own label and nothing else - MachineBadge still asks for CODE39,
because the badge readers predate the shop-floor scanners and decode nothing
else, and that is exactly the kind of thing a call site should say out loud.

views/print/qrLogo.js is folded in rather than left as a second half-shared
helper that only some of the pages reached into.

The check script now fails a build that imports either library outside that
module. Without it this re-forks within a month: the next label page starts by
copying the nearest existing one, which is how it happened the first time.

Tests cover the part no amount of looking at a screen verifies - a QR that
looks fine at 96 dpi on a monitor can be unreadable at 203 dpi on half-inch
stock.

31139267d1 Fix model images 404 under a subpath mount (withBase)
Model image URLs are root-relative (/api/models/image/...), so on an /ops
subpath deploy the raw <img src> resolved to the server root and 404'd. Wrap
every model-image src in withBase(): machine/printer/PC/network detail heroes,
the models settings preview, and the machine-badge / asset-label print pages.
withBase leaves external http(s)/data URLs untouched.

ebca0b00b0 ADR-013 Phase 4: relocate the remaining 9 plugin frontends (all 13 done)
Relocate warranty, measuringtools, network, printers, usb, notifications,
computers, and slides into plugins/<name>/frontend/. Each plugin's views are
pulled from wherever they lived (own dir, plus the shared views/settings/,
views/reports/, views/print/ dirs, and top-level views) into the plugin's
frontend/views/, and its route file becomes the self-contained routes.js.

Handled the messy cases:
- computers: name mismatch (its views live in views/pcs/) - moved by following
the route file's own imports, so the dir name did not matter. Its OS/access-
protocol/PC-type settings views move with it (only computers.js routed them).
- network: NetworkHub's sibling sub-views (NetworkDevicesList, SubnetsBrowse,
not directly routed) moved too so its `./` imports resolve.
- printers: the qrLogo helper is SHARED with core AssetLabel, so it stays in
views/print/ and PrinterQR imports it via @/views/print/qrLogo.
- slides: route file is toplevel-only (TVDashboard); SlideManager stays core
  (core.js routes /settings/slides).

frontend/src/views/ now holds only core views; frontend/src/router/routes/ holds
only core.js. All 13 plugins are self-contained under plugins/<name>/frontend/.
Verified live: Network (hub + moved sub-views), Computers (name mismatch),
GE-Enforce (helper), printedparts all render from their staged frontends. Build +
58 vitest + naming green.

af9a3b190b ADR-013 Phase 4: frontend staging machinery + relocate printedparts; fix router crash
The staging step that makes lean per-site frontend builds possible, plus the
first plugin relocated as the pilot.

- scripts/stage-frontend.mjs: copies each chosen plugin's plugins/<name>/frontend/
into frontend/src/.plugins-staged/<name>/ and codegens routes.gen.js. Plugin
selection via SITE_PLUGINS (comma-separated); empty = all plugins that have a
frontend/ (the full build). Wired as npm predev/prebuild; outputs gitignored.
- Router imports routes.gen.js and merges staged routes with the in-tree
  ./routes/*.js glob - dual-location during the transition.
- printedparts relocated: its 6 views (list/detail/form/kiosk + the settings and
labels views from the shared dirs) moved into plugins/printedparts/frontend/
views/, core imports rewritten to the @/ alias; routes.js is the self-contained
route module. Its old in-tree route file is removed.

Also fixes a crash the previous commit (37c764b) shipped: slides.js exports only
`toplevel` (its child routes live in core.js), so the router's
flatMap(m => m.default) produced an undefined child and threw
"Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'path')" at load - the whole SPA
went blank. Guarded with `m.default || []`. (The earlier "print pages are blank"
reading was this crash, not page nature.)

Verified live: /machines renders again; the relocated /printedparts list renders
identically from the staged plugin frontend; SITE_PLUGINS=machines excludes
printedparts from routes.gen. Build (via npm, runs stage) + vitest + naming green.

New public print view at /print/printedparts-labels following the
plugin-owned USB label precedent: multi-select with per-item copies,
CODE128 of the item code via JsBarcode (a QR at this size is at the
edge of scanner tolerance), one label per page on 1in x 0.5in roll
stock via a new @page size. The Detail page's Bin Label button
preselects its item through ?item=<id>; the list header gains a batch
Print Labels button.

6010f01de1 Support subpath IIS deployment as a second install method

The app can run as an IIS Application under an existing site
(e.g. https://host/ops/) instead of its own site + port:

- frontend: vite base via VITE_BASE_PATH; router history, axios
baseURL, and root-absolute asset/route paths resolve through
  utils/basePath.js withBase()
- backend: MOUNT_PATH (env or .env) wraps the app in a WSGI
middleware that shifts the prefix into SCRIPT_NAME, so one knob
serves API + SPA under the mount
- docs: INSTALL-WINDOWS-IIS.md section 7b runbook + troubleshooting
rows; DEPLOY-WINDOWS-IIS.md pointer; commented examples in
  deploy/windows/web.config and .env.example

Root deployment unchanged (MOUNT_PATH unset, base '/'). Also folds
two stray root-absolute callers into the shared plumbing
(MachineForm relationship-types fetch, reports CSV window.open).

The single-label page gains an Output toggle (standalone vs place on a
ULINE 6-up sheet) with a 2x3 cell picker, so one label can be printed
into the correct physical position on a partially-used sheet - the
single-label equivalent of the batch page start-cell offset. Batch page
unchanged.

4b20c2eb56 Add batch ULINE label printing for all asset types
All checks were successful
CI / backend (push) Successful in 1m24s
CI / naming (push) Successful in 1s
CI / frontend (push) Successful in 7s
A multi-select batch sheet at /print/asset-label-batch/<type> lays
selected assets onto ULINE label pages (6-up 3x3 or dense 72-up mini),
with code-type and encode toggles matching the single label, plus a
start-cell offset for partial sheets. Print Labels buttons on all five
asset list pages. The per-type config and encode resolution are
extracted to a shared print/assetLabel.js used by both the single and
batch views. Measuring-tool batches encode each tool inspection-
operation code (decode-verified 0615).

808 tests pass.

a846587f39 Add email sending (service + 3 flows) and a general asset label generator
All checks were successful
CI / backend (push) Successful in 1m23s
CI / naming (push) Successful in 1s
CI / frontend (push) Successful in 7s
Email: a stdlib SMTP mailer (settings-first config, graceful no-op when
unconfigured), a test-email endpoint wired to the Email settings page,
forced first-login password change (users.mustchangepassword, migration
7d23, /change-password flow), new-user welcome mail, and on-demand
report/alert delivery (POST /api/reports/email + Email Report buttons)
with an external-cron-with-a-scoped-PAT path documented for automation.
All tests patch smtplib - no network.

Labels: a shared /print/asset-label/<type>/<id> view any asset detail
page opens - card or plain style, QR or barcode, configurable encoding.
Per-type qr_target_* templates plus label_default_style/codetype/encodes
settings on the Printing page. Measuring-tool labels default to encoding
their inspection-operation code (derived from the location name, e.g.
0615), so every tool in an area shares the area code - verified by
decoding the rendered QR. Machine labels default to the machine number;
blank-serial handled gracefully.

808 tests pass; both features verified live.

48d3160bc5 Rename the equipment domain to machines; retype the models catalog (ADR-011)
All checks were successful
CI / backend (push) Successful in 23s
CI / naming (push) Successful in 2s
CI / frontend (push) Successful in 8s
The equipment plugin is now the machines plugin, ending the UI-vs-code
vocabulary split while the contract is pre-1.0 and nothing external
depends on the old names.

- plugins/equipment -> plugins/machines: manifest, class, /api/machines,
machines.* permissions, registry key (with an auto-migrating load shim
  for existing installs).
- Tables: equipment -> machines (equipmentid -> machineid) and
equipmenttypes -> machinetypes, renamed in the plugin's own migration
chain (machines0002rename), idempotent for both upgrading and fresh
  installs.
- The legacy core machinetypes lookup actually types the vendor MODELS
catalog, so it is renamed losslessly to modeltypes
(models.modeltypeid, /api/modeltypes, Model Types settings page)
rather than collapsed, freeing the machinetypes name. Core migration
7d17_machines_rename also flips data in place: assettypes row
equipment -> machine, auditlog entitytype, identifier_/search_
settings keys, permission rows, and renames alembic_version_equipment.
- Frontend: machinesApi/modeltypesApi, item.machine response shape,
assettype value compares 'equipment' -> 'machine' (map, search,
custom fields, relationships), routes machines.js with plugin gating
retagged, /print/machine-badge, Machine Types (subtypes) and Model
Types (catalog) settings pages, machines-by-type report id.
- Docs swept; ADRs left as history per the authoring rule.

Upgrade: flask db upgrade then flask plugin upgrade-all.

Verified: dev DB flipped live (262 machines, 35 modeltypes, 95 models
retyped, zero equipment tables remain); fresh scratch-MySQL install
produces the new names; 341 tests green; naming/style green; frontend
builds; live E2E on machines list/detail, PC relationships, map,
reports, and both settings pages.

b8c22244a1 Multi-site distribution readiness: settings-driven site config, security closeout, release engineering, v0.5.0
Some checks failed

CI / naming (push) Successful in 1s
CI / frontend (push) Successful in 7s
Make the app distributable to other GE Aerospace sites (one self-hosted
instance per site, ADR-004). GE values remain the shipped defaults; every
site-specific behavior is now a Setting an admin can change in the UI.

Settings-driven site config:
- Branding: site/QR/badge logos, favicon, primary color (upload endpoints
mirror the map-blueprint pattern; new Settings > Branding section).
- ServiceNow: search/incident/change URL templates ({ticket}), ticket
prefixes, enable toggle. Defaults point at the current
  geaerospaceqa.service-now.com global search. Disabled = plain-text tickets.
- Employee-id regex (employeeid_pattern), printer hostname template,
QR label targets (qr_target_printer / qr_target_usb, blank = asset page,
else URL template with placeholders), usb_label_style (barcode|qr).
- West Jefferson floor-plan PNGs removed from the tree; generic placeholder
ships as the map default and sites upload their own blueprint.

Security closeout:
- dashboarddefaults writes now require admin.
- Collector: generic error messages (no str(exc) leak); API key accepted
via X-API-Key header only (BREAKING: querystring api_key removed).
- IP-based login rate limiting (AUTH_RATELIMIT_* knobs) atop account lockout.
- Setting.set() creation race fixed (IntegrityError retry).

Release engineering and docs:
- __version__ 0.5.0 (distinct from __contract_version__, ADR-007),
CHANGELOG.md, Gitea Actions CI config, frontend version aligned.
- One wizard-first install story across README/DEPLOY; new CONFIG.md,
  UPGRADE.md, BACKUP-RESTORE.md; CLAUDE.md and ROADMAP de-staled.
- Dockerfile multi-stage build now bundles the frontend; compose binds
MySQL to 127.0.0.1; stale database/schema.sql and one-off SQL removed.

Debt and fixes:
- .query.get() -> db.session.get() sweep; datetime.utcnow() removed
(naive-UTC via timezone-aware now); users.py on authz decorators.
- Fixed 4 stale tests (slides feed shape, shopfloor splitperemployee,
plugin contract purity) and the USB label page field mapping (both usb
modes emit the cmmc shape: device_id/device_desc).
- Health endpoint reports the real version.

248 tests pass; naming/style check green; frontend builds; fresh-DB
flask db upgrade + seeds verified; QR targets verified by decoding
rendered codes.

78a0ee8d83 Add custom fields + warranty plugin, rework settings into two-pane shell
Feature work from the 2026-07 session:

Settings IA
- Replace the flat 27-card settings hub with a persistent two-pane shell
(SettingsLayout.vue): grouped, searchable left rail + content pane.
- Nest all settings/* routes under the shell via router post-processing;
shared nav catalog in settingsNav.js. Group by asset class (PCs, Printers,
Equipment, Network) so per-type settings stop scattering.

Custom fields (core)
- customfields + customfieldvalues tables (migration 7d14), CRUD API at
  /api/customfields, per-asset value get/save.
- Settings management page + reusable CustomFieldsSection (detail) and
CustomFieldsInputs (form) wired into all four asset types.

Warranty (new plugin)
- plugins/warranty: warranties + warrantyassets (migration 7d15), derived
coverage status, provider abstraction (manual now; Dell/Lenovo/HP stubs).
- API CRUD + per-asset panel + report buckets; WarrantyPanel on all four
detail pages; Warranties management page; Warranty report + Reports card.
- Seed warranty.* permissions.

Printer drivers
- printerdrivers table (migration 7d13) linked to printer models; drivers now
surface on the matching printer's detail page.

Other
- PCDetail rebalanced (Network + Status + Warranty + custom fields on the right).
- Rename PCs list "Features" column to "Remote Access"; fix badge hover underline.
- Drop equipment islocationonly field.
- Centralize asset-type label/route maps into utils/assetTypes.js.

60641161d5 Second-pass review fixes: kill last hardcoded creds, wire get_services, dedup
Verification audit (re-run of the 6 skill lenses) confirmed the prior fixes hold
and surfaced a few misses:

Security (HIGH):
- search.py _check_smart_redirect still opened a raw pymysql connection with
root/rootpassword (reachable on any 9-digit SSO query). Now uses the shared
  env-backed employee_connection helper.
- Deleted dead shopdb/core/services/employee_service.py (zero importers; carried
another root/rootpassword literal). No hardcoded credentials remain in app
logic; config.py dev defaults stay gated by ProductionConfig.validate.

Dead hook:
- get_services was implemented by the printers plugin but had no consumer (docs
claimed otherwise). Added PluginManager.get_service(name) that resolves a
service from enabled plugins; updated PLUGIN-HOOKS.md.

Tests:
- search disabled-plugin exclusion (the high-value gap): enabled plugin's
hostname appears, disabled plugin's hostname drops out (searched by a hostname
distinct from assetnumber so only the gated domain can match).
- get_service consumer test (unknown name -> None).

Simplify:
- Extract the triplicated GE_LOGO_SVG + loadLogo + drawLogoOverlay into shared
frontend/src/views/print/qrLogo.js (renderQrDataUrl); both QR views use it.
- applications.py: lift the misplaced pagination import to the top; drop unused
Computer unpacking in the 3 endpoints that only touch ComputerInstalledApp.

154 tests pass, naming/style green, app boots, QR render verified.

0ee4f5a6ba USB label batch: brand colors + print-color-adjust; document migration strategy
- USBLabelBatch.vue: recolor controls/selection/cell borders to the app CSS
variables (was hardcoded #667eea/#28a745/#dc3545) and add
`print-color-adjust: exact` so barcodes print even with "Background graphics"
off. (Barcodes render as vector SVG, so no canvas->img change needed.)
- ADR-004: document the resolved migration strategy - single core Alembic chain
(`flask db upgrade`), bundled plugin schema folded into core (7c04), resolving
the Phase 7B per-plugin-chain conflict footgun. External plugins may still
  ship their own chains.

6979edfc0c Fix QR codes missing from printed labels + match app color scheme
QR codes were drawn to live <canvas> elements, which print unreliably (often
blank in the printout). The print pages also used hardcoded off-brand colors
(#667eea indigo) instead of the app's palette.

- PrinterQRBatch.vue + PrinterQRSingle.vue: render each QR (with the GE
  monogram composited in) to a data-URL <img> instead of a live <canvas>.
  Images print every time.
- Add `print-color-adjust: exact` so the browser prints the QR images and
borders even when the user's "Background graphics" option is off.
- Cache the GE logo image once instead of reloading it per code.
- Recolor controls/buttons/selection/label borders to the app CSS variables
(--primary, --success, --danger, --bg-card, --text...), so the pages match
the scheme and adapt to dark mode. Printed labels stay black-on-white.

ce7259c17a Phase 0: lock platform contract, naming convention, and style enforcement
Establishes the framework's foundation as a multi-site adoptable platform.

ADRs (migrations/adr/):
- ADR-001 (ACCEPTED): Asset is the platform contract; Machine retires.
Three relationship types (partof, controls, connectedto) with free-text
label, position-resolution chain (asset > related > location),
  hierarchical locations, sibling-bay propagation.
- ADR-002 (ACCEPTED): Plugin contract semver via __contract_version__.
- ADR-003 (ACCEPTED): Hybrid plugin distribution (in-tree bundled +
  filesystem-based external).
- ADR-004 (ACCEPTED): Per-site instances, not multi-tenant.
- ADR-005 (ACCEPTED): Equipment plugin (manufacturing) split from
measuringtools plugin (metrology). Subtype-table pattern for protocol
  data (FOCAS, CLM, MTConnect).
- ADR-006 (ACCEPTED): Plugin collector contract via get_collector_schema
hook with API-key auth and identity-based upsert.

Naming convention v1 (CONTRIBUTING.md):
- DB tables/columns: lowercase concatenated, no underscores or dashes
- DB-mirrored Python/JS variables match column names exactly; pure code
  follows host-language convention (PEP 8 / camelCase)
- Closed acronym allowlist (universal + shop-floor domain), banned
shorthand list with suffix exception (printers_bp etc allowed)
- Plain ASCII everywhere: chat, docs, comments, string literals

Style enforcement (scripts/check-naming-and-style.sh):
- Pre-commit-runnable check script: non-ASCII, banned shorthand,
snake_case DB names, snake_case API params in frontend
- Fixes 14 violations across 11 files (Unicode arrows, snake_case
params, ctx -> canvasContext, res -> response, req -> request_obj)

Project state (CLAUDE.md, README.md, frontend/CLAUDE.md):
- De-staled CLAUDE.md to reflect actual current state
- README unifies DB story (MySQL canonical, SQLite test-only)
- frontend/CLAUDE.md points at root convention
