Long-running commands (pytest suites, npm builds, container rolls) must be redirected to a log under devnotes/ and launched non-blocking, never polled or tailed - the user watches the file. Warn before modifying files when a test run or build may be in progress, so discussion can continue without altering files underneath a running suite. Invoke shell scripts with the explicit Git Bash path, because bare bash in PowerShell resolves to WSL, which has no /bin/bash here and fails in a way that looks like the script itself is broken.
Default fuzzy reconcile threshold to 0 and refuse merges when digit runs differ so numbered labels like Bay 311 never bind to Bay 310.
