Proudlock bd48814021 Reorganize repository structure and clean up documentation
Clean up and organize the flask-shopdb repository for better
maintainability and discoverability:

## Changes

- Update .gitignore for build artifacts (publish/, data/, 122M total)
- Reorganize .claude/ into 6 subdirectories with README navigation
- Consolidate overlapping MCP setup guides into MCP-QUICK-START.md
- Move deployment docs from root to docs/deployment/
- Archive dated status reports to .claude/archived/
- Delete temporary files (logs, backups, empty reports, ~50K)

## New Structure

.claude/ organized into:
- setup/ - MCP, VM, Hyper-V, GitHub setup guides + scripts (17 files)
- plans/ - Feature plans and protocols (5 files)
- maintenance/ - Deployment checklists and reports (4 files)
- archived/ - Historical documentation (9 files)
- skills/ - Claude Code automation (5 files)
- workflows/ - Security audit workflow (1 file)

docs/deployment/ created with 6 deployment guides:
- LOCAL-DEV-SETUP.md, DOCKER-SETUP.md, DOCKER-PREBUILT-APPROACH.md
- PRODUCTION-READINESS.md, DEPLOY-TO-VM.md, README.md

Root directory cleaned to essential docs only:
- CLAUDE.md, README.md, CONTRIBUTING.md, CHANGELOG.md

Benefits:
- Clear navigation via README.md in each subdirectory
- No duplicate/overlapping documentation
- Large artifacts properly gitignored (won't bloat repository)
- Historical context preserved in archived/

See .claude/CLEANUP-SUMMARY.md for complete details.

MCP Server Status

Last Updated: 2026-09-09 (Session: automated setup)

Test Results

Overall: 4/7 tests passed (57%) ✓ Improved from 3/7

Status by Server:
✓ gortex : OK (Project management ready)
✓ mysql : OK (Database running and reachable)
✓ browser : OK (Web automation package available)
✓ config : OK (Configuration valid)
✗ vm : FAIL (VM not started)
⚠ hyperv : WARN (Need admin to check VMs)
⚠ snapshots : WARN (Need admin to manage snapshots)

What's Working Now

✓ Gortex (Project Management)

  • Status: Installed and ready
  • Location: C:\Users\270015376\Documents\gortex.exe
  • Test: Ask Claude "List all tasks in the current project"

✓ MySQL (Database Access)

  • Status: Running and healthy
  • Container: flask-shopdb-db-1 (MySQL 8.4.11)
  • Connection: 127.0.0.1:3306
  • Database: shopdb_flask
  • Test: Ask Claude "Show me the endpoints table schema"

✓ Browser (Web Automation)

  • Status: Package available via npm
  • Version: 1.2.29
  • Package: @agent-infra/mcp-server-browser
  • Test: Ask Claude "Take a screenshot of https://localhost:5001"

✓ Configuration

  • Status: Valid JSON configuration
  • Location: .claude/mcp-servers.json
  • Servers: 4 configured (gortex, mysql, browser, vm)

What Needs Setup

VM Testing (Optional)

To enable VM MCP:

  1. Start VM in Hyper-V Manager
  2. Connect to VM console
  3. Run as Administrator: .\\.claude\enable-vm-ssh.ps1
  4. Test from host: ssh SupportUser@192.168.100.10

VM Details:

  • IP: 192.168.100.10
  • User: SupportUser
  • Password: vos313
  • Purpose: Agent testing and integration tests

See: .claude/setup-vm-ssh.md for complete guide

Snapshots (Optional, requires admin)

To create snapshots:

# Run PowerShell as Administrator
Checkpoint-VM -Name "ShopDB-Test-VM" -SnapshotName "Clean-Install"

See: .claude/VM-SNAPSHOT-GUIDE.md for complete guide

Ready to Use

Start Claude Code with MCP

cd C:\Users\270015376\Documents\github\flask-shopdb
claude

MCP servers will auto-load when Claude Code starts from flask-shopdb directory.

Test MCP Servers

Try these commands in Claude Code:

"List all tasks in the current project"
→ Tests Gortex project management

"Show me the first 5 endpoints in the database"
→ Tests MySQL database access

"What tables exist in the database?"
→ Tests MySQL schema inspection

"Take a screenshot of https://localhost:5001"
→ Tests Browser automation (requires ShopDB running)

Docker Status

Container: flask-shopdb-db-1
Image: mysql:8.4
Status: Up and healthy
Ports:     127.0.0.1:3306->3306/tcp

To stop:

docker compose down

To restart:

docker compose up -d db

Current Limitations

Without VM:

  • Cannot test agent deployment
  • Cannot run end-to-end agent tests
  • Cannot verify tray notifications
  • Cannot test fleet alerts on real agent

Workaround: Use local testing only (database + browser)

Without Hyper-V Administrators Group:

  • Cannot use PowerShell Hyper-V cmdlets (Get-VM, Checkpoint-VM, etc.)
  • Cannot script snapshot creation/restoration
  • CAN use Hyper-V Manager GUI for everything (VMs, snapshots, settings)
  • VM MCP works perfectly via SSH (no Hyper-V permissions needed!)

Impact: None for MCP usage - only affects PowerShell automation

To get group membership: Ask IT admin to run:

Add-LocalGroupMember -Group "Hyper-V Administrators" -Member "270015376"

Success Rate by Use Case

Use Case Available MCP Servers Needed
