Security fix: .claude/mcp-servers.json contained plain-text passwords:
- MySQL dev password: shopdb-dev-password
- VM SSH password: vos313 (SupportUser and shopfloor accounts)
These credentials are now in GitHub history and should be rotated.
Changes:
- Add .claude/settings*.json and mcp-servers.json to .gitignore
- Remove these files from git tracking (files remain locally)
- Keep shared team resources: skills/, plans/, setup/, maintenance/
These are personal/machine-specific configuration:
- settings.json: Personal hooks (stop-dev.cmd), preferences
- mcp-servers.json: Local paths, database credentials, SSH passwords
Each developer should configure their own .claude/ settings locally.

wilm has been red for eight consecutive runs across backend, gates and
frontend. Three failures, two unrelated causes, neither introduced by the
endpoint agent work.
docs/ prose (backend + gates):
The docs gates detect a published checkout by the ABSENCE of docs/*.md,
because docs/ becomes the wiki on that side. DEV-BUILD-TEST.md and
PLUGIN-HOOKS.md were committed in unrelated changes, which made CI look
like an internal checkout carrying almost no prose. test_there_are_docs_
to_check then failed on `assert 3 > 20`, test_the_map_itself_is_current
failed on a generated PROJECT-MAP.md that is correctly untracked, and
check-gates-ran.sh failed on the resulting skip - a skipped gate reports
green and checks nothing, so it refuses to accept one.
The existing .gitignore comment predicted this exactly and was defeated by
naming files individually. Untracked both (kept on disk) and replaced the
per-file list with docs/*.md so the next authored doc cannot reintroduce
it. Scoped to the top level: docs/notes/ prose and docs/openapi.json stay
tracked, and the gates only glob docs/*.md.
Frontend specs:
getEntraDeviceUrls() gained lapsUrl and loaded, but two siteSettings specs
still asserted the old two-key shape with toEqual, which is exact-match.
The implementation is correct - loaded is what lets a caller distinguish a
failed fetch from an unconfigured site, since both read as empty strings -
so the specs were brought up to the current shape rather than the return
value narrowed.
pinnedPanels.spec.js sliced 420 characters from getEntraDeviceUrls() and
asserted the finally block appeared inside it. Adding the retry logic
pushed finally past that offset, so a correct implementation reported as
"the finally is missing". Rebounded the slice to the function's own extent,
matching the structural approach already used elsewhere in this file for
the same reason. Verified by mutation: renaming the flag in the source
fails the test, which also caught that the spec reads
plugins/computers/frontend/views/PCDetail.vue and not the .plugins-staged
build copy.
Supporting changes for the monitor/drift work: shared panel styling for the new warning state, a naming-hook tweak, and gitignore entries for editor state (.vs/) and scratch capture files (pt*.txt) so they stay out of version control.
Several days of endpoint-agent work left DB dumps, sample datasets, captured command output, generated maps, vuln scan output, merge-kit exports, and staged agent publish trees in the tree. None are product source. Ignore them so status shows only real work and they cannot be committed by accident. exports/ stays on disk for reference. agent/.gitignore also reserves dev-bin/ and _stage/ for delivery-build scratch.
docs/ is generated and published to the wiki, not tracked in the product repo, and the docs publish/version tests skip when docs/ is absent. A single tracked file under docs/ made the directory exist in the CI checkout, so those tests ran against a near-empty folder and failed test_there_are_docs_to_check (needs >20 files) and test_the_map_itself_is_current (needs PROJECT-MAP.md). Untrack the guide and ignore it so it stays local-only and docs/ is absent in a fresh checkout, restoring the intended skip.
Rework the seed catalog from the cleaned live DB: dedupe Dell vendor/model rows, strip vendor names out of model numbers, add missing models, assign model types across printer and equipment lines, add a Controller type, and split a mashup HP LaserJet row into six real models. Now 44 vendors, 172 models, 173 modelsupplies. Also document that assets.csv needs its subtype file to appear in typed list views, and ignore devnotes/ scratch.
Clone-to-first-change onboarding, plus .vscode launch/tasks/extensions
so F5 debugs the backend and a task runs both dev servers. Fix the
README manual path to run the backend on 5001 (the frontend proxies
there; the default 5000 loaded nothing).
At sites running the external HR directory the self-hosted table is
empty, so every kiosk badge fell to the deny policy. The resolver now
branches on employee_directory_mode: selfhosted reads the directory
table by SSO; external queries the HR directory, resolving PayNo
badges by their real PayNo column.
Flask + Vue rewrite of the classic-ASP shopdb, built as a plugin
framework so sister GE Aerospace sites can adopt it. Product version
0.7.0-pre-0.8.0, plugin contract 0.11.0, 966 backend tests.
